Designers’ Notes:
The Julie vintage mine cut engagement ring with coral accents was created with our client’s heirloom diamonds. Julie’s partner had champagne diamonds and a vintage cushion shape mine cut diamond inherited from grandparents on both sides of the family. We set the champagne diamonds in the band of the ring, warming up the design and create a two-tone look. The prongs that hold in the center mine cut diamond are placed NSEW, instead of at the corners of the stone, creating another subtle unique feature in the ring. Both Julie and her partner are “water people” and love being near the ocean, so we designed the head of the ring to resemble a coral reef. It’s the perfect hidden personal detail in an otherwise classic design.
