Designers’ Notes:
The Desiree 4 carat moissanite engagement ring was made for our client as an engagement ring upgrade after 15 years of marriage. She also had developed an intolerance to gold and needed a hypoallergenic metal option in platinum so that she could continue to wear her ring every day. Our client was drawn to classic designs, particularly three-stone settings. They have three daughters and wanted to represent their children in this piece. To add modern influence to the three-stone design, we used two pear-cut moissanites as side stones. The undercarriage of center stones features a sunflower-inspired filigree pattern. The sunflower petals cup each of the stones in a bowl-shaped basket – not visible from top down view of the ring.
