5 Ways to Design a Custom Engagement Ring
If you’re doing your homework on how to get a custom engagement ring, chances are that you’re looking for something original and unique. Luckily, Abby Sparks Designs specializes in custom engagement rings and wedding bands.
But if you don’t know where to start in the custom engagement ring process, we’re here to make it easy for you. Here are a few factors to keep in mind when designing a ring for the love of your life.
Pick a stone.
When it comes to picking a stone for your future fiancé’s ring, there are many routes you can take. The most common is going with a diamond. But if you’re not looking for the traditional stone, why not get creative? Consider your partner’s favorite color, their birthstone and/or a shape they love. We’re here to show you options so that the stone, no matter what it looks like, will take her breath away.
Choose a metal.
Something to consider when choosing the metal is your partner’s lifestyle. Are they super active? Do they work with their hands? Metals don’t just vary by color; they vary in durability. For instance, someone who works with their hands a lot or likes to do an activity like rock climbing should go with platinum or palladium. Someone who isn’t rough with their hands can easily go with white or yellow gold.
Add a special touch.
Does your partner have a favorite flower or shape, or maybe they’re just a little quirky? Abby Sparks Designs specializes in designing custom to your partner’s likes and style. The client above loves tulips, so we added a design that emulates them.
Engrave it.
Have a saying between the two of you? Or maybe you want to put your initials on the ring. If you want the ring engraved, whether now or at some point, let us know! We’ll leave room when designing the band.
Texturize the band.
The finish of a ring can take it to a whole other level. Abby Sparks Designs has a signature finish, plus we offer hammered, cross pein, brushed and the original polished finishes.
