Meghan and AJ’s Denver Wedding, Abby Sparks Jewelry featured in Martha Stewart Wedding

Majorly celebrating over here at Abby Sparks Jewelry because one of our favorite couples is in Martha Stewart Weddings (One Couple’s Nontraditional, Industrial Wedding in Denver, Colorado) and the feature is absolutely gorgeous. Meghan is a dear friend of Abby, and the engagement ring and wedding ring we designed for Meghan and AJ not only grace the story…Abby makes an appearance as well! And the Bride wore blue. We’re all about individuality and there’s nothing that says that louder than forgoing a white wedding dress. Above, Meghan’s custom couture Tara LaTour gown with lace detailing. In the foreground, Meghan’s bridesmaid’s dresses bring that traditional pop of white in a non traditional way.

Local love. Not only did this wedding celebrate an awesome couple, it was full of Colorado pride. Meghan and AJ chose to get married in the city they call home with their ceremony and reception at Blanc in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood. Meghan and AJ’s big day featured a who’s who of some of the city’s top wedding vendors.

You’re invited. The couples invitation suite set by Lana’s Shop the tone for their colors of navy and greenery,
and their preference for bespoke and handcrafted details.

A Denver-centric goodie bag. Welcome totes were an insider’s guide to the best of what the city has to offer,
plus some over-the-counter meds to ease any altitude sickness for mile high newcomers.

What started it all. AJ proposed to Meghan with a custom Abby Sparks Jewelry diamond engagement ring. Like all Abby Sparks rings, Meghan’s is one-of-a-kind and named for her: The Meghan.

Designed exclusively for Meghan, we repurposed her own heirloom jewelry and reused her diamonds
to create her sentimental matte yellow gold engagement ring.

No heels, no problem. The stunning Colorado-inspired custom lining in Meghan’s gown, plus her opting for sensible chic lace up sandals reinforces the theme of individuality.

Made you look. In matching navy, Meghan and AJ have their first look outside of Blanc.

Wild flowers. Meghan’s gorgeous bridal bouquet made by Lace and Lilies grouped roses, dahlias, eucalyptus, olive branches, and hellebores.

You can take the man of out the East Coast… AJ paid homage to his East Coast roots with crisp white chinos,
a navy Suitsupply jacket and a blue hued floral print tie.

Rustic Industrial. We love Blanc because it’s equal parts urban grit and intimate garden party, making for stunning photo ops at every turn.

The Bridal tribe. Meghan’s bridesmaids (including Abby Sparks) wore ethereal white gowns and floral accessories in lieu of bridesmaids bouquets for an unfussy, organic feel.

Party people. The bridal party included AJ’s older brothers, college volleyball teammates, and the mutual friend who introduced Meghan and AJ.

Dainty and delicate. Meghan wore her custom necklace made with a repurposed European cut family heirloom diamond, by Abby Sparks Jewelry. The Meghan necklace.

A prediction for the future. Meghan’s custom wedding band by Abby Sparks Jewelry has an inscription that reads, “Don’t be afraid to fall in love…it’s the only thing in life that truly matters.” Abby gave the band to Meghan as a gift shortly before she met her future husband.
