Designers’ Notes:
The Christy orange and blue cluster ring was created from a star sapphire our client received upon her mother’s passing. After many years of wearing and loving it in its original form, she decided to up cycle her mother’s sapphire and upgrade her wedding ring all at once. She asked us to create a non-traditional ring that would honor her mother and remind her of outdoor adventures “out west” when her family would collect turquoise and camp in a pop-top camper. She defines herself as a wild, expressive, tattooed and professional human and wanted that emulated in her ring. Guided by her story, we set her almost 2 carat, oval cut, heirloom star sapphire at a tilt with asymmetric clusters bursting from the sides. We added North American sourced turquoise and Montana sapphire accent stones to bring the American West to her finger, and wrapped it all in a warm 14k rose gold frame to let her vibrant stone colors pop.
