Designers’ Notes:
The Mila pear cut memorial diamond ring was designed for our client to celebrate the life of her sweet Doberman Mila. The center stone is a yellow lab-created diamond, created using Mila’s ashes. When our client was presented the option to remove the color from her diamond, she opted to keep the deep amber hue because it meant more of Mila in her ring, with all her sun shining sweetness. We set her diamond center stone on a tilt, to honor the memory of when she and Mila first met in a pet store in Japan. Mila walked up to her and leaned on her leg – not yet knowing how to walk. We set Mila’s warm stones in a 14k white gold band to highlight the amber, and compliment the neutral palette of grey rosecut diamond and champagne diamond accents. We used a prong setting to tip our hats to Mila’s delicate, soft nature.
