Designers’ Notes:
The Sonia platinum diamond and ruby band was designed using family heirloom stones from our client’s mother. She wanted something that she could wear every day and be reminded of her mother, while at the same time being a new design that she could layer with her more timeless three-stone engagement ring. We created an ultra-modern matte-finish wide band look with platinum and clustered the gemstones organically in the center. In addition to her mother’s rubies and diamonds, we sourced two emeralds to create a contrasting pop of color. Finally, using the leftover stones from this heirloom redesign, we created a complementary mother-daughter band for her daughter.
