Which setting is right for your custom engagement ring?
Understand the differences
The engagement ring setting refers to the entire metal part that holds diamonds and gemstones in place, and even though there are a wide range of setting styles, there are really only a few true ways to set your stones.
How Do You Choose the Right Setting?
Choosing your engagement ring setting is a combination of preference, style, and lifestyle. Prong setting is by far the most popular stone setting and is the safest bet for a timeless engagement ring or if you are surprising your partner with a ring. Beyond preference, lifestyle is also important to consider. If you work with your hands or are rough on your jewelry, a bezel set or bezel prong set is less likely to snag and will best protect your center stone. We recommend trying on different settings to see what feels right for you.
